As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Natalie works at the root causal level to help her clients better understand how imbalances and nutritional deficiencies in the body connect with the symptoms they are experiencing. Natalie then creates personalized wellness programs, custom meal plans, and lifestyle recommendations. She will also suggests specific supplements to help lessen and reverse your symptoms. By using a whole body, mind, spirit approach, you will achieve optimal health and wellness.
About Me
My love for holistic health and nutrition began in my late twenties. During this time, I struggled for years from orthorexia, anxiety and an eating disorder. I lost my period for an entire year, my hair gradually started to thin and fall out, I was anemic, experienced insomnia, low energy, low libido and was constantly anxious and in an emotional state. When I finally came to terms with my illness and decided it was time to turn my life around I made an appointment to see a Naturopathic Doctor. I hoped that she could help to regain my health and put things into perspective before my problems got even worse. After a full body exam, I was told that I was heading down a very scary road. It would lead to many more health issues as my body was under a ton of stress.
Immediately following my appointment I focused on regaining my mental and physical health. All of a sudden, counting calories and weighing myself daily became a thing of the past and I started feeling better with each passing day. It took almost two years to fully recover both mentally and physically from my illness. Still to this day and everyday forward I continue to say positive daily affirmations, nourish my body and mind with clean foods and exercise to be feel strong and be well. I am proud to say that my commitment to a healthy lifestyle has rewarded me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. Recovering from an illness like mine takes a lot of internal growth. With that comes patience, confidence and abating unhealthy habits. Amidst gaining 20+ pounds back to my body, I also gained my entire life back.
I am a firm believer in the saying “the love you give is the love you will receive” – not only to others but even more so to yourself. We live in a very selfless world where we are constantly concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with our own. If we all started simplifying our lifestyles, surrounding ourselves with people who support and encourage us, and do things in life we are passionate about regardless of what other people thought, we would all be much happier and healthier. Continually for the past 4 years, I wake up each and every day hoping to inspire and motivate people of all ages to wake up early, move their bodies in any way they can, feed their bodies as best as they can and finally to practice deep breathing, journalling and mediation as a way to cope with everyday stress.
The body was designed to BE HEALTHY and therefore has the ability to reverse disease progression. With the use of natural, good quality, nutrient-dense foods, lifestyle modifications and specific supplements we can help bring the body back into balance. The health of the gut (known as our “second brain”) plays an huge role in your overall health and well-being as it often is where most conditions stem from. By meeting with my clients and carefully assessing their nutrition and lifestyle forms, I am able to use the principles of holistic health to educate and guide them through a long-term individualized wellness program. I can then provide education and ongoing assessments in order to reach their health goals.
Each plan includes weekly nutrition plans designed to suit each clients needs. These plans come with easy-to-follow, simple, yet nourishing and delicious recipes, downloadable grocery lists, caloric intakes as well as vitamins & mineral contents, naturally sourced supplement suggestions, and lifestyle recommendations. As an RHN, I am extremely passionate about what I do. I treat each individual with respect and honesty regardless of their wellness goals, personal tastes, morals, social and life values.
