L.H. Gray & Son Limited is a modern, innovative company backed by more than 75 years of tradition.
His philosophy of “keep growing, keep building and operate as if you will go on forever,” is what spurs him and his team to ensure they have the most modern and innovative egg businesses in Canada and is what will continue to lead future growth.
- 85 mg DHA per egg – DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid, supports the normal development of the brain, eyes and nerves.
- 1 mg Lutein per egg – Lutein is an antioxidant which may protect eyes from age related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss for seniors. The enhanced levels of Lutein are achieved by adding marigold flower extract to the hens feed.
- Source of Vitamin D – Vitamin D strengthens bones and teeth and may help protect against certain cancers and auto-immune diseases. Each Conestoga Free Run Omega-3 egg contains 15% of the Daily Value of Vitamin D.
So with only 4 simple ingredients, a bowl, and a handy dandy whisk you can whip up these soft shell taco’s in no time whatsoever!
After boiling some water, dunking in the fresh spinach, cooling it off with a few ice cubes and then drying the leaves, you will then incorporate all four ingredients scooping out 4 spoonfuls at a time. Pressing down and moving your fingers in a circular motion you will flatten out the “taco’s” to desired thickness and place in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Just like so 🙂
The golden edges of the freshly baked taco’s will notify you that they are all done and ready to enjoy! I topped mine with fresh avocado slices, some red pepper, fresh arugula, and cherry tomatoes. Keeping them light and delicious.
I know this is NOT the first time I have mentioned this amazing company before but I just can’t help myself!!! As I discovered there brand this past summer and have been addicted ever since. Shepherd Gourmet Dairy A Canadian company from St.Mary’s Ontario producing “Skyr” which is considered a concentrated yogurt. It is made from 100% Canadian Skim Milk and is high in Protein and Calcium, with 22g of Protein per 175g serving. There yogourts are all-natural product made with a Probiotic. I purchase mine from a lovely wellness store in St.Catharines http://thepeanutmill.com — not only makes a perfect snack with fruit, breakfast on its own and a great side for desserts but also tops off savoury dishes like chili’s, stews, and homemade taco’s with that perfect creamy taste without the cream!
So now we have our dollop of yogourt… let’s add some fresh slices of even more healthy creaminess… of course an Avocado! Because really though… what is a taco at ANY time of day without avo???… Containing 150 mg of potassium per serving! Potassium helps your body build muscle and break down and use carbohydrates. Avocado’s also contain a good amount of dietary fiber which can add bulk to the diet, helping you feel full faster, decreasing those hourly hunger sensations! Santa is your listening — you may want to take my advice and eat up some avo before hitting the road in a few days!!! Maybe then you won’t need so many cookies 😉
