SIMPLE AYURVEDIC OATMEAL .

✏️ 1/3C gluten-free steel-cut oats (soaked for minimum 2 hours, preferably overnight).
✏️ 1/2C – 3/4C filtered water
✏️ 1/2C homemade almond milk (or plain unsweetened almond milk)
✏️ 2 medjool dates, pits removed. Cut into small pieces.
✏️ ½ fresh gala apple or pear, cut into small pieces.
✏️ ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg.
✏️ 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder.

Combine the dates, cut fruit, water and the spices in a small saucepan and bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5- 7 minutes or until the fruit is tender and well-cooked. Add the oats, the ½ cup of almond milk, stir, and return to a boil. When the mixture boils, stir thoroughly, remove from heat, top with whatever your little hearts desire and serve. today’s toppings of choice were @eatfatso creamy peanut butter and frozen wild blueberries heated in a saucepan for 2 minutes simple yet so satisfying!
